Synopsis:

An Austrian soldier has a passionate affair with a beautiful woman he meets while home on leave. Unfortunately, she is married to an aristocrat who challenges the soldier to a duel. He survives this challenge, but is forced to leave for Africa, only to discover upon his return that his mistress has married his best friend.
