Synopsis

The cast of Stichting De Akteurs' 1995 play repeat their roles in this Dutch drama set at a seashore house where five sisters gather to make a video for their parents' 40th wedding anniversary. As the women drink and talk through the evening, their gabfest runs the gamut from childbirth conversations to drunken confessions, taking tense turns and eventually stirring up family secrets. Shown at the 1997 Locarno Film Festival.
