Synopsis:
Set in the early 1970's, a five year old English girl and her eight year old sister are taken to live in the exotic town of Marrakech by their young and beautiful mother. While hippie mother Julia seeks the freedom for her children that a stuffy English life would not allow, eight year old Bea craves order and routine. The family have little source of income, until they meet local Bilal. Julia and Bilal hit it off, and soon he comes to live with them. He is a small time con man with a good heart, and when he realises that all Europeans are not in fact rich, he does his best to provide for the family.
