Hippy Porn (1991)

Synopsis

This low-budget black-and-white satire is apparently the first one directed by the perpetually quirky Jon Moritsugu, who went on to help create Mod Fuck Explosion Terminal USA and Fame Whore. The story, anything but pornographic, concerns the very low-key but very stylish lives of two beatnik youths in the 1960s, who are almost too hip to breathe. Their favorite hangout is the Cafe Camus, and their most exciting date was spent hunting rats in the sewers, and everything that is even remotely interesting to anyone else is simply too boring for words to them. One highlight of the film is its musical soundtrack, which was released by Matador Records.
