This Croatian comedy follows the exploits of a robber and his victim, an art historian. Janko, a petty robber and soccer fan is first seen at a local park kissing his trampy girlfriend Barbara. He would do anything for her so when she says she wants a puppy, he ties an elderly woman to a tree to steal her puppy. Vanja is the art historian is trying to finish his manuscript for a book on cathedrals. He has already passed his deadline. To get peace, he works in the lovely apartment of his ex- girlfriend Maria while she is away. Unbeknownst to him, the apartment has been targeted by Janko for his next robbery. The two accidently meet and all heck breaks loose. There is violence and Janko ends up running off with Vanja's manuscript. A mad chase ensues.
