Synopsis:
Six years ago, director Kim Snyder was suddenly struck with flu-like symptoms so severe that she was bedridden for nearly a year. To this day, she has not fully recovered. Her mysterious illness, which baffled doctors, was finally diagnosed as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. This film, motivated by Snyder's own need for answers, is both an intimate look at her struggle with a debilitating condition and an informative investigation that brings much-needed clarity to this widely misunderstood affliction. While medical experts offer differing opinions on the disease's origin and cause, sufferers of CFS (including film director Blake Edwards, Olympic gold medalist Michelle Akers, and high school senior Stephen Paganetti) share their experiences of pain and perseverance. A cure has yet to be discovered.
