Synopsis
A pirate broadcaster becomes the last voice for freedom in a totalitarian state in this dystopian sci-fi drama. In the not-so-distant future, America has been transformed into a fascist state, and a massive economic recession coupled with a shortage of food has made it easy for the new, corrupt government to control the citizens as they see fit. However, a rebel voice, who calls himself Johnny Shortwave, takes to the airwaves, broadcasting messages that encourage the people to band together and stand up for their rights against their tyrannical leaders. Johnny's pirate broadcasts are jammed into scheduled programming sponsored by the Industrial Alliance, the group that backs the current dictatorship, and the I.A.'s leaders hire a notorious hit man known only as "The Photographer" to find Johnny Shortwave and silence him forever. Johnny Shortwave stars Emmanuel Mark, John Tench, and Mona Matteo.
