Jydekompagniet (1989)

Jydekompagniet (1989)

Synopsis

In this zany comedy based on the popular Danish television series Jydekompagniet, Finn Norbygaard and Jacob Haugaard continue their roles as a pair of extraordinarily unskilled private detectives, both innocent rubes from Jutland. They work energetically and ineffectually to try and gain some form of professional respect. In this film, their work takes them into the midst of a religious cult. Their job: to extract their client's daughter from the midst of this den of fuzzy thinking. The girl is held in the cult's moat-surrounded headquarters. Complications include one of the "Jut-nuts" falling in love with the girl. The film's humor is a mix of slapstick and satire on Danish society.
