Synopsis:
What's the difference between Mariah Carey and a 21 year-old computer student from Long Beach? According to some, not much. A funny, heartfelt journey into the world of karaoke contests, this documentary follows the path of six hopefuls as they compete for a shot at thousands of dollars in prize money and a possible recording contract in America's largest singing contest, Karaoke Fest. In the process, we follow a loveable menagerie of oddballs, dreamers, and schemers through the twists and turns of preliminaries leading up to the Big Night.
