In an uneven episodic series of vignettes, the Spanish mime troupe Les Comediants, via the thinnest of storylines, performs their various acts. The sequences begin in the countryside when a driver gets out of his car and takes a hot-air balloon ride to a magical kingdom of revelers. Once there, he follows a beautiful woman but after overtaking her, she turns out to be a hag. The woman then leads him to an empty theater where the fellow watches a few performances of God and creation. Next, he becomes involved in a fast-forwarded development of the human race, from happy cave dweller to beleaguered consumer. The comedy in this intended spoof of humans and their foibles is more cerebral than gut level and may be best-suited for the younger tykes who would enjoy the fantasy-like sequences and great costumes and masks.
