Synopsis:
After trying to rescue a fleeing girl on the road one night, lowlife detective Mike Hammer is drawn into investigating first a murder, then the whereabouts of a mysterious box that seems to have prompted the crime. The contents of the box - the great whatsit - are being sought by atomic age spies as well as by Hammer.
