Lacapagira (2000)

Lacapagira (2000)

Synopsis

Shot in the thick Italian street dialect of coastal town Bari, located roughly at the heel of that peninsula, this postmodern indie crime comedy was helmed by first time director Alessandro Piva. When a Balkan mule stuffs a bag of cocaine down a train's toilet after a handoff goes bad, the race is on to find the missing drugs, located somewhere along the railroad tracks. Crime boss Nino (Mimmo Mancini), who has a passion for driving around listening to cheesy dance music, sends out a couple of his dense henchmen, Minuicchio (Dino Abbrescia) and Pasquale (Paolo Sassanelli), to look for the package, while Pinuccio waits for them at the club, along with Sabino. Meanwhile, two space cadets happen upon the highly-sought-after item. This film was screened at the 2000 Berlin Film Festival.
