Director Imtiaz Ali (Jab We Met) takes the helm for this Bollywood romance starring Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan as lovers in two different time periods. Set in 2009, "Love Aaj" details the romance of London couple Jai and Meera, a happy couple with a nontraditional view of relationships. When life pulls them in different directions, they decide to leave their future to fate. "Love Kal" takes place in 1965, when Veer Singh is struck by lightning the moment he lays eyes on the lovely Harleen. Smitten, he travels a thousand kilometers by train just to get another glimpse at her. As the two separate stories unfold, we come to understand that the experience of being in love transcends time, even if the details of being in a relationship vary from era to era.
