Synopsis:
A black comedy set in the mythical town of Sunray, Australia, "Love Serenade" is the story of Vick-Ann and Dimity Hurley, two sisters, aged 26 and 21 respectively, beset by the feeling that life is passing them by. Enter Ken Sherry, a mid-'40s, thrice divorced, ex-Drivetime King of Brisbane Radio, who has moved in next door to take over Sunray's tiny radio station and live life as the big fish in a small pond. As Sunray's new resident DJ, Ken unleashes his penchant for '70s soul music all over the small town. The sisters start to wonder about their own notions of love and desire as they get to know Ken, causing Dimity to seriously question what it is that's so fishy about her new neighbor.
