Male Fantasy (2003)

Male Fantasy (2003)

Synopsis

Director Blaine Thurier's follow-up to his previous film Low Self Esteem Girl switches focus to the male gender to follow a community of unmotivated Vancouver artists who spend more time trying to impress the ladies than honing their various talents. Andrew (Robert Dayton) is a needy, neurotic mess of a man whose divorce from Sally (Cindy Wolfe) has just been finalized, and who has now come to the conclusion that he is a god who creates his own reality. When it begins to appear that the rest of the world isn't willing to accommodate his delusion, he approaches Sally's band-mate Jay (Shane Nelkin) for some brotherly advice on picking up girls. While Shane's advice to seek out a girl who is "less confident than you" indeed seems to help, it begins to appear that Andrew may have gone too far in the opposite direction when he gets involved with a series of girls who are even less stable than he.
