Synopsis:

Everyone in 12-year-old Adele Nordstrom's family has a different last name. Her mother June, a middle-aging lounge singer, knows a lot about divorce and wonders if her legs are good enough for the handsome younger lover trying hard to win everyone's affection. Adele's alcoholic brother thinks that life is too important to take seriously. Her sister, under the influence of anti-depressants, hides from an abusive husband. And Adele's disengaged father wants to be left alone. During the summer of her 12th year, Adele navigates the emotional chaos of her weird extended family - learning about loyalty, betrayal, forgiveness, and what to expect from love.
