Synopsis:
Portrait of Pulitzer Prize-winning American composer Ned Rorem, looking at the artist as he moves into his twilight years--the shadow of his own mortality reflected in the worsening illness of his longtime companion James Holmes who died of AIDS. Documents Rorem's restlessness, as he continues to work on new pieces (or new productions of his older ones) while inspiring a new generation of musicians and writers.
