In this suspense/action/thriller, the backwoods connivings of corrupt officials of a Tennessee town lead to rape and murder. What's worse, state officials refuse to look into the situation there until the inexplicably absent town sheriff returns with the feds. The trouble comes to a head when the town mayor appoints his sadistic but none-too-bright nephew to fill the (apparently) vacated sheriff's spot.
