Synopsis:
In 1819, a young man, Rastignac, is seduced by Paris' high society. While staying at a boarding house, he meets an older man, Old Goriot, who has given up all his possessions so that his children might live a fabulous life full of parties, money, drugs and sex. When Goriot passes away and no one attends the funeral, Rastignac wakes up to a sobering reality and heads down a path of redemption.
