Synopsis:
Jack Flange is in trouble. The fetching young man has recently moved from the city to be near his sister Nikki, who is in hospital following a car accident. To get by, Jack takes a job at an oyster farm run by cranky Brownie and his wise father Mumbles. Foolishly, Jack steals a huge sum of money from a fish market, thinking this is the only way to help Nikki. He posts the cash to himself but it never materializes. After awhile, he grows fearful that the jig is up and that the police will show up on his doorstep at any moment. At the same time he wonders whether his neighbours may have intercepted the loot--he is especially suspicious of the bewitching Pearl, whose expensive taste does not go unnoticed in the countryside.
