Synopsis:
Based on the true story of Henri Charriere, a petty criminal known as "Papillon" (butterfly). Wrongly convicted of murder in the 1930s and sentenced to life in a penal colony in French Guiana, Papillon attempted many escapes and subsequent punishments before succeeding.
