Peep

Peep "TV" Show (2003)

Synopsis

A reclusive social misfit broadcasting images of strangers over the internet comes into contact with a gothic Lolita who is eager to join his voyeuristic enterprise in director Yutaka Tsuchiya's digital exploration of the Japanese video surveillance subculture. His video camera obsessively trained on the unsuspecting masses that crowd the Tokyo streets, Haegawa secretly runs a website that brings the images of the masses to the masses. Jaded goth girl Moe knows well of Haegawa's website, and when the reluctant shutterbug agrees to let her take a closer look at his clandestine operation, the result is a chilling decent into a world where the lens sees all, and reality is subjective.
