Synopsis:
A contemporary fable of love and war, in which two Russian soldiers are captured by a Chechen father who holds them hostage in his village home. The father hopes to exchange the soldiers for his son, who has been captured by the Russian army. As the two markedly different Russians await their fate, the dashing, experienced Sacha begins to develop a bond with the raw, young recruit Vania, who in turn romances their captive's daughter.
