Synopsis

In 1713 there was a peasants' revolt in Slovenia, and shortly thereafter, an extended family arrives at a barren area of the countryside to live in forced exile. The harsh conditions of the terrain, the exile, and even worse, a plague of dysentery that threatens to end everyone's life, These adversities bring forth as much courage as the family can muster.
