Synopsis:
In 1989, a group of friends got together to stage a drag contest spoofing the Miss USA competition. Eleven years later, that little spoof has grown into a gala event attracting crowds of over 2,000 and raising more than $225,000 for sufferers of HIV and AIDS. This is the moving and outrageously funny story of the 2000 pageant. Behind-the-scenes footage allows us to watch the hours spent on gravity-defying hairstyles, glitzy sets, and insane costume designs.
