Originally commissioned as a live, multi-media performance, director Paul D. Miller (aka DJ Spooky)'s bold "remix" of D.W. Griffith's Birth of a Nation reworks the original film in order to relate its true meaning to the sociopolitical conflicts that America is experiencing in the early-21st Century. A "DJ mix applied to cinema" designed to challenge our legacy of revisionist history while deconstructing a controversial classic, Rebirth of a Nation features an original score composed by the director, and performed by The Kronos Quartet.
