An easy Austin girl falls for a quietly intense veteran, and finds her life spiraling into disaster after a drunken fling with a wannabe rock star. When she's not crashing at the local co-op, Erica (Amanda Fuller) can usually be found hung-over in a stranger's bed. A good time girl who's emotionally stunted and prone to drifting, she's drawn to Nate (Noah Taylor) after meeting him in the local hardware store, where he's gone to work after being sent home from Iraq with a honorable discharge. Beneath his soft-spoken exterior, Nate is constantly simmering. He seems to want more from Erica than a quick lay, something that can't be said for most guys in town. Guys like Franki (Marc Senter), a struggling rocker who once passed Erica around the room like a cheap sex toy during a drunken night of debauchery some time back. Frustrated when his relationship with his girlfriend goes bad and he's left alone to care for his ailing mother, Franki focuses his anger on Erica and soon discovers he's made a terrible mistake.
