Synopsis:
Gallo Morales, a notorious breeder of fighting cocks, returns to his home in the American Southwest after serving a seven-year prison term for manslaughter. Hector, Gallo's rebellious 20-year-old son, is bent on escaping the drudgery of farm work. He has inherited his grandfather's prize-fighting cock and intends to use his winnings to build a new life for himself and the family. But when Gallo returns home and expects to control the cock, a fierce clash ensues.
