In this tense emotional drama, Rudy (Brian Patrick Sullivan) is a high school history teacher in his mid thirties, who, years ago, was behind the wheel of the family car when he was in an accident which claimed the life of his father and sent his younger brother into a coma. Rudy's brother saw his promising career as a concert pianist come to an end; still living at home, Rudy spends his nights caring for his brother, who suffers seizures as a result of his injuries, and his mother, a domineering former opera singer who doesn't want her son to have a life of his own. Rudy Blue was the first directorial credit for John Werner.
