The title of this German drama refers to the German New Year. Professional Berlin photographer Romeo (Rolf Peter Kahl) has a stormy relationship with his girlfriend Julia (Marie Zielcke), and things come to a head when a friend sets Rolf off in a jealous rage. An effort to kiss and make up leads to a journey to Warsaw, where things only get worse. Shown at the 1997 Toronto Film Festival.
