German filmmaker Siggi Gotz has been responsible for such deathless classics as Two in Seventh Heaven and Sex on the Rocks. To be fair, Gotz has occasionally turned out harmless musical romances, but for the most part he has trafficked in soft-core erotica. Summer Night Fever falls into the latter category. Its title obviously inspired by John Travolta's Saturday Night Fever, the films details various carnal couplings during the course of a hot (and we mean hot) summer evening. Participants in the ribald revelry include Claudine Bird, Bea Fiedler, Gianni Garko, Jacques Herlin, Stephane Hillel and Claus Obalski.
