Synopsis:
In 1968, a film director and his crew shoot a scene involving an argument between a young married couple, Alice and Freddie, that builds in intensity until, in a fit of rage, Alice accuses her husband of being unfaithful--and gay. Cut to the present. The aging director is back filming the same actors playing the same roles. Alice and Freddie are meeting for the first time since their break-up 35 years ago. Each has gone their separate ways and all looks well as they greet each other, obviously hoping to bury the bitter past, but the director has no intention of letting bygones be bygones. Old wounds resurface as he demands that the actors search ever deeper into their characters’ past lives and souls, relentlessly pursuing the ever-elusive symbiopsychotaxiplasmic moment.
