Backstage, the standup comedian, Rosy Marconi, prays. Onstage, Rosy blasts her husband. Stan was a man who made "laziness a religion" and she's happy now that he's gone. Rosy's tired of the post-divorce pity. However, Rosy's home life isn't what she makes it out to be. We join Rosy on a rainy night as she plods through her dark house, past her dining room table covered in gift baskets, and into her lifeless kitchen. She smokes, drinks, and, though she tries to keep it together, breaks down in tears.
