Synopsis:

Duke Berne is an unsuccessful mobster who tries in vain to reorganize his old gang when he is released from prison. He makes the mistake of falling in love with the wife of crooked lawyer, Martin Fleming, and Fleming returns the favor by putting him in jail for life. He escapes from prison, and goes looking for Mrs Fleming, who has meanwhile left her no-good husband after he framed an innocent young man.
