Maggie finally leaves her home town to pursue her career as a singer. When she finds herself with little money and no where to live, she reluctantly takes a room in an elderly man's apartment. However, as fate would have it, the old man's wisdom is the only thing that guides her in overcoming her stagefright, dealing with her mother's death and repairing a broken relationship with her father.
