With their beloved football team, the Buzzards, moved out of state and their hopes dashed of receiving one of the new expansion teams, the town of Quimby Falls settles in for some heavy grieving and economic loses. One diehard fan, Charlie Atwater, a 29-year veteran of the Buzzard's Marching Band, decides to take matters into his own hands by confronting Robert Blister, the despised, greedy owner of the Buzzards. He embarks on a campaign, with the help of his nephew Johnny and a nervous stowaway accountant Eugene, to return the Buzzards to their rightful home.
