Synopsis:
Film version of the life of Joe E Lewis who was "Roaring Twenties" Chicago's hottest nightclub singer and had his throat slashed by gangsters when he refused to sing at their club. Losing his singing voice, he then went on to a career as a comedian, but bouts with alcohol threatened to undo him.
