Synopsis:

A professional card dealer returns to Chicago after rehab for heroin addiction. But his overpowering wife, his old street buddies, and the allure of a 'B-girl', coupled with his real dream to become a jazz drummer bring him back to the needle. His life starts to self-destruct again and he makes one last ditch effort to kick the habit.
