Synopsis:
A rakish, suburban stockbroker turns his back on his past and starts life anew as a painter. He ingratiates himself with a seasoned painter and proceeds to seduce the man's wife, thus destroying their friendship. After earning critical praise as an artist, he finds a new life in Tahiti. A thinly-veiled account of the life of Paul Gauguin.
