Synopsis:
Lacey Scott is spending the summer with her grandfather, Bruno, in a huge mansion. It's not long before Lacey realizes that there's something terribly wrong with the house. It begins subtly--an overheard whisper, a word written on the wall, a glimpse of a ghostly figure. Lacey begs her grandfather to get her out of the house, but Bruno is convinced that the ghosts are all in Lacey's head. Lacey starts researching the history of the house and discovers that it used to be an insane asylum housing some of the country's most violent criminals. Vague, elusive hints surface of something called the "Lazarus Project," involving the torture and death of several inmates in an attempt to unlock the secret of eternal life. Could Bruno himself have been somehow involved in the mysterious and horrifying Lazarus Project and the search to create a perfect ghost?
