Synopsis:
Story of the Curley family of Dublin, focusing on father Dessie--a plasterer who likes to get plastered--and his 20-year-old daughter Sharon--a supermarket check-out girl. When Sharon announces that she is pregnant, but does not say who the father is, she forces the Curley family to confront both the potential shame and happiness this new addition to the family will bring.
