The Whole Truth (1992)

The Whole Truth (1992)

Synopsis

Dan and Vanessa have met one another through a dating service, and initially their romance has the benefit of their being almost totally opposite kinds of people. Vanessa is an inveterate do-gooder and architect with a very methodical bent. Dan, who runs a magic store by day, is attempting to break into stand-up comedy by night. When Vanessa calls the relationship off, Dan, thinking perhaps that it may be because he wasn't sufficiently attentive or didn't let her know how much she meant to him, showers her with letters, messages on her answering machine, and impromptu visits to her workplace and home. In return, she alleges sexual harassment, and their disagreements become fodder for a courtroom drama in which the views of each side are exhaustively but somewhat inconclusively aired.
