A former Mafia hitman who had hung up his guns to earn a simple living as the proprietor of a small-town bait shop finds that he has been set up for a hit after agreeing to help settle a dispute between the son of a powerful crime boss and a feared Mafioso in screenwriters Brian Koppelman and David Levien's adaptation of Don Winslow's tense novel. Robert De Niro stars in the film, which is produced by partner Jane Rosenthal under the pair's Tribecca Films banner.
