Synopsis:
John Power is the leader of the local travellers who has settled into small-town life with a fancy car and string of business interests. Trojan Eddie has worked for Power since leaving prison and is employed as a salesman. Selling is what Eddie does best. From the back of his Trojan van, Eddie sells, with Power''s nephew Dermot as his assistant. Meanwhile, Power has become obsessed with a young girl, Kathleen, who is more than half his age. Dermot, on the other hand, has also been seeing Kathleen and trouble ensues after she accepts John Power''s proposal of marriage. At the reception, Dermot and Kathleen slip out with the 11,000 pound cash dowry. Now on the run from Power, Dermot and Kathleen have to hide, leading Eddie to proposed that they split the money and start a business, freeing them both from Power''s economic stranglehold.
