The year was 1922, and the news was almost too shocking to believe. Local school principal Marlow J. Christensen had shot and killed one of his students. But the victim was hardly a candidate for valedictorian. In fact, he was a member of the local gang that had harassed and driven out eight principals in the past three years. In the aftermath of the shooting, the community of Uintah fell apart. But one man would make it his life's mission to bring them back together. Golden Kilburn was Marlow J. Christensen's successor at the school.
