Synopsis

Thinking only of inspiring her students to learn something, schoolteacher Vera Romeyke (Rita Engelmann) encourages them to examine a factory's production methods. She inadvertently touches off a political firestorm which results in her being officially reprimanded and which effectively ends her career.
