Vlado: Thirty Years Later

Vlado: Thirty Years Later

Synopsis

At once an aural diary and an enduring testament to the brutality that unfurled during the years of Brazil's military dictatorship, Joao Batista's Vlado: Thirty Years Later relays the sad story of Vladimir "Vlado" Herzog. Herzog was a Jewish journalist tortured and murdered by Brazilian authorities thanks to his ideological convictions - convictions that dissented from those promulgated by the government at that time.
