WTC: The First 24 Hours (2004)

Synopsis

This impressionistic documentary was compiled from footage shot in the immediate aftermath of the terrorist attacks on New York City's World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Dispensing with narration or a musical score, WTC: The First 24 Hours offers a bystander's view as the twin towers crumple and collapse, and the ashen devastation that brought Lower Manhattan -- one of the busiest areas in the world -- to a virtual standstill. An official entry at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival, this video features two versions of WTC: the original 11-minute edition and a later expanded cut running about a half-hour.
