Synopsis:
Jan has settled comfortably into the bustling life of New York City. He has made friends, taken a wife and a job as a university lecturer and hasn't thought much about his Czech Republic home town in the last thirty years. However, when his friend Adam invites Pampeliska, a young teacher from Jan's home town, to visit them in New York, she brings with her a family heirloom from Jan's father that opens a floodgate of bittersweet memories from Jan's childhood and wartime experiences that send him into an emotional tailspin.
