This interesting but downbeat drama about Flora (Bettina Banoun), a young 14-year-old girl, and Jon (Jorn Christiansen), a 19-year-old struggling artist, is filled with metaphor and symbolism. Jon and Flora enter into a sexual relationship, which might raise the eyebrows of some viewers attentive to the exploitation of older children. Nevertheless, the unlikely couple explore the city together and have various adventures. At times, Flora goes back to her family, which includes an alcoholic father and a drug-addicted sister. At other times she stays with some of her friends, who have taken over a condemned house. It's difficult to say if anything here will keep Jon and Flora together, or cause their relationship to transcend the mundane and often depressing world around them.
